Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad joined his Bolivian counterpart Evo Morales on the football field Wednesday for a friendly match with Iran’s top players. Morales arrived in Tehran on Sunday night for a three-day visit aimed at bolstering economic ties.
During the game, both leaders scored for the presidential team, which won 8-6 after Mo-Jad drove home the final goal in a penalty shootout.
Lucky for Mo-Jad, Morales is a close ally. Check out this video from another friendly football game earlier this month between Morales and his political rival, La Paz Mayor Luis Revilla. The South American leader is caught on video (around :34) deliberately kneeing another player in the groin.
Low blow, Morales. Low blow.
