he Lebanese army has released photos of the Israeli spy devices found on Mount Sannine and Mount Barouk this week. The pictures do not show any snow on the mountains, so it appears the devices were found before the huge snow storm that hit Lebanon over the weekend.
Reports say it was Hezbollah who tipped off the army to the location of the devices.
According to Israeli media reports, the spy equipment is old.
“Hezbollah discovered these [devices] years ago and not months or days ago,” one report said, adding that Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is trying to distract people’s attention by making them focus on Israel instead of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s (STL) pending indictment.
Beam Systems Israel Ltd. – the company’s name which appears on the devices (and can be seen in the photos) – worked during the 1980’s, the report said, adding that it is unclear whether these devices were found in recent days or whether Hezbollah chose a specific time that serves its interests to make the announcement.
