Egypt bans Internet porn

I think another revolution is in order.

An Egyptian court has ruled in favor of a proposal put forward last month by Al-Nour Party MP Younis Makhioun to ban pornographic websites in Egypt. (Quick! Someone tell Rick Santorum.)

Makhioun reportedly argued that porn sites have “taken Egypt’s youth down an immoral path and have had a negative effect on families, leading to divorce and rape.”

By the way, this isn’t the first time Egypt’s tackled Internet porn. The country put a ban on it in 2009, but apparently it was never enforced.

So all of that revolutionary protesting, and now you’re back to the behaviors of a repressive religious state? For shame, democracy.
